Garlic Bread Cinnamon Rolls | Garlic bread swirls | GF/DF/V


You will need

►Pizza dough (see recipe below ⬇️ or use store bought)

►Garlic butter (recipe below ⬇️)

►Mozzarella cheese (we like to use vegan like Violife for DF/V)


Garlic Butter:

►1/4c butter/vegan butter, softened/RT or sub coconut oil or red palm shortening

►1/4c extra virgin olive oil/avocado oil

►1 garlic clove

►1 tsp granulated garlic (dried garlic powder)

►1/2 tsp dried oregano

►1/2 tsp dried parsley

►pinch of sea salt


Combine in food processor and blend until smooth


GF/DF/V Pizza Dough:

►170g warm water

►4g yeast

►8g maple syrup

►150g gf flour blend (I used 50g each tapioca, millet, sorghum)

►8g psyllium husk powder

►5g sea salt

►4 tsp extra virgin olive oil/avocado oil

►1 tsp apple cider vinegar


Combine yeast, syrup and warm water.

In a separate bowl, combine dry ingredients and mix really well to prevent psyllium husk clumps when we add the liquids.

Add yeast mixture, oil and vinegar and mix to combine.

Then let sit 5-10 minutes allowing the psyllium to absorb water, and the dough will thicken making it easier to handle.

Gently knead dough for a few minutes then let proof in a warm spot for 30-45 minutes.

Roll out, spread with most of your garlic butter, cut into strips with a pizza cutter or knife, then sprinkle with your cheese of choice.

Roll each strip up into a cinnamon roll shape, and place on a parchment lined baking tray. Start preheating your oven to 400F while the dough rises again (about 20-30minutes).

Bake until golden brown, ours took 15’ish minutes.

NOTE:  this recipe size if for one personal pizza & makes about 4-5 rolls. Feel free to double the recipe if you want to make 8-10 rolls.
