Writer's picture: Mary DraperMary Draper

Have fun dipping your frozen treats this summer, or simply pour some over your ice cream for a crunchy magic chocolate shell. Watch the video to the end for some fun & easy ideas to use it too!

METHOD 1:

1-2 cups choc chips***

1 spoonful of coconut oil

Melt in microwave in 30sec bursts until melted, then top or dip all your fav frozen treats!!

***Use your favourite chocolate chips and this can easily be made dairyfree/vegan, refined sugar-free (coconut-sugar-sweetened choc chips), or completely sugar-free.

METHOD 2:

1/4c coconut oil

1/4c maple syrup

1/4c cocoa powder

Heat coconut oil & maple syrup in microwave in 30sec bursts until coconut oil is melted, then all the cocao powder and stir/whisk until uniform. It takes a while to fully incorporate the fat droplets, and eventually it will look smooth and uniform. Then top or dip all your fav frozen treats!!

It's super easy, and you can pour any leftovers on a parchment lined tray, then pop in the fridge or freezer. Once it's hardened, break it up into pieces and store in an airtight container in the fridge or freezer until you need it again.
